Azure Virtual Desktop

Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) is a cloud-based virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) solution offered by Microsoft as part of the Azure platform. It allows organizations to host virtual desktops and applications in the cloud, making it possible for users to access their desktop environment from anywhere, on any device.

If you have your 365 or Azure users with MFA, AVD is integrated with Azure MFA so your users will be protected with MFA upon their access setup which provides a secure, centralized environment for managing desktops, applications, and data, making it easier for organizations to manage and maintain their desktop environment. This helps organizations to reduce the costs associated with managing physical desktops and provide a more flexible and scalable solution for their users.

AVD allows users to access their desktop environment from a variety of devices, including laptops, tablets, and smartphones, and supports different operating systems such as Windows 10, Windows Server 2019, MAC OS and Linux. This allows organizations to provide their users with a consistent and familiar desktop experience, regardless of the device they are using.

AVD can also be configured with FSLogix and pointing to Azure File Share to provide highly available and optimised user profiles in virtual desktop environments.

Overall, Azure Virtual Desktop is a powerful and flexible solution for organizations looking to provide their users with a cloud-based virtual desktop experience, while also reducing the costs and complexity associated with managing physical desktops.
